OPERATIONAL PRIORITIES
Health and wellness in the public safety sector is not achieved by physicals alone. It takes dynamic leaders and medical professionals who understand the interplay between the physical and mental aspects of public safety and overlay that with the operational requirements of high-risk professions. We have identified seven of the biggest challenges and opportunities to improve the physical and mental well being of public safety professionals. We use these priorities to guide our patients to greater effectiveness and longevity while taking into account the operational toll that occurs in public safety. Our priorities drive our comprehensive health and wellness programs. We prioritize early identification, education, and analysis of the following:
Cardiovascular Disease
Cancer
Orthopedic Injuries
Metabolic Disease
Suicide and Other Human Performance Issues
