Medical Services

Keeping public safety men and women healthy — and their departments informed.

Annual NFPA 1582 Occupational Medical Evaluations

Our dynamic organization allows for a decentralized operational approach. Whether we come to you, or you choose to use one of our facilities, we are prepared to meet your needs. All physical examinations, laboratory testing, vision testing, audiograms, spirometry, chest X-rays, exercise testing, cancer screenings, immunizations, and infectious disease screenings — as well as one-on-one consultations with a state licensed and operational medical provider — take place at your station or at one of our locations. All of our firefighter screenings exceed the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program Standard 1582.

Firefighter Candidate/New Hire Medical Evaluations

Prospective personnel examinations require more extensive background testing and lab work than annual exams. Our evaluations meet and exceed all NFPA standards. We provide special testing at hiring to address future medical issues that can arise with workers' compensation cases to protect the new hire and the department from needless claims. The cost of hiring poorly cannot be understated.

Law Enforcement Annual & New Hire Examinations (Following State Guidelines)

Law enforcement candidates are required to undergo pre-hire medical examinations that meet the requirements set forth by the state guidelines. We apply a rigorous standard to our law enforcement examinations to ensure both the law enforcement candidate and the hiring agency are protected. These examinations include laboratory testing, vision testing, audiograms, spirometry, X-rays, exercise testing, heavy metal testing, and one-on-one consultations with a state-licensed and law enforcement specific medical provider to review all results, studies, and findings.

Immunizations

Our immunizations include influenza, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and tetanus and are screened for in conjunction with new hire or annual physicals. These vaccinations can then be administered by our staff and tracked in our HIPAA-protected electronic health record.
