Stefan began his military career after commissioning as an Armor Officer from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Initially serving with the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA, he deployed as a tank platoon leader to Bosnia and later led 34 scout Soldiers in the ground invasion and liberation of Iraq as a scout platoon leader. After completing the Infantry Captains Career Course, he relocated to Fort Hood, TX and served as a staff officer prior to assuming command of a tank company team in the 4th Infantry Division. There he deployed to Iraq again leading 104 Soldiers in combat and was responsible for over $120 million worth of military weapons, vehicles and equipment.
After returning to the U.S., Stefan taught military professional development to students at the University of Texas, Austin, as an associate professor of military science. In his final military assignment, he returned to Iraq again as an Iraqi Army Advisor. Through all of those experiences, his lingering desire to pursue a career in medicine manifested in his decision to leave active-duty service in order to realize that dream.
Stefan then earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at the University of Florida and began his first job as a physician assistant practicing family medicine, minor emergency treatments, and weight loss management in Georgetown. Later, he worked in the Emergency Department in both Killeen and Georgetown.
Next in his career journey included serving as a medical provider as well as the vice president of clinical operations for Aspire Allergy and Sinus supervising operations from Waco to Corpus Christi. After initially helping in a part time capacity beginning in 2017, he was able to transition into a full-time role in 2021 with Front Line Mobile Health chasing his passion of first responder health and wellness.
