Alex Jesko, BS
Exercise Physiologist
Alex Jesko is an experienced exercise physiologist with a specialty in the clinical application of cardiopulmonary exercise testing, bariatrics, cardiac rehab and cardiovascular assessments in tactical athletes.
Alex’s background is well-suited to helping Front Line’s patients achieve the optimum in cardiopulmonary health.
At Front Line Mobile Health, Alex performs the cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) to assess cardiovascular function through gas exchange analysis and 12-lead ECG. He also performs the very important function of being a Front Line resource in educating Firefighters on the important information obtained through CPET and how to best incorporate the results into their daily lives in order to achieve optimum cardiac health.
Alex also shares the role of lead technician on the Front Line InBody 570, the body composition system we chose for the vast amount of information that it captures and reports.
Alex’s extensive work history in exercise physiology is very appropriate in working with our Firefighter patients, as they are considered athletes in every possible way. He was the Exercise Physiologist in a multi-disciplinary team for a surgical weight-loss center where he developed, implemented and managed their CPET testing program, which included 4 systems at 2 locations. He did both the initial fitness assessment of moderate-to-high-risk patients, as well as guided them through pre/post-surgery exercise programs.
Alex is focused on improving cardiac outcomes and has participated in blog posting and serving on support groups for bariatric patients, who were working toward increased physical activity and a wellness-centered lifestyle.
