Dr. Chandra is a board certified general and interventional cardiologist practicing in North Texas. He specializes in prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerotic coronary and peripheral vascular disease, hypertensive heart disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure and stroke. Dr. Chandra completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital, St Louis where he also served as the chief resident. He did his cardiovascular medicine fellowship from Creighton University, Omaha where he served as the chief cardiovascular Fellow and then went on to complete his interventional cardiology fellowship where he received comprehensive training in coronary, peripheral/endovascular and structural heart interventions. He had the distinction of being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society for his contributions to medicine. During his training, he published and presented several research papers in peer reviewed journals and national meetings. He chose cardiovascular medicine as he has the opportunity to save his patients from life threatening conditions and see them get better right away.
